From a recent article on masks and ventilation A new study indicates that wearing a cloth mask reduces the average contamination range by approximately two-third of the distance compared to the no-mask case. Only less than 1% of particles in mask cases reached distances beyond 2 [m], as opposed to more than 70% of particles in the no-mask cases. The results clearly show that the effectiveness of wearing a cloth mask coupledwith the AC ventilation can result in a significant reduction in the spread of infectious particles, including aerosols.

In Disclaimer
There has never been a time in history, where so much information has been available. And yet, we all sometimes have a hard time differentiating what information is relevant to us and our churches. COVID-19 is a reality. It is not the first pandemic, and it will not be the last. Our team of public health specialists has created this forum to help your church respond to the epidemic and connect your ministries to resources and other church leaders. Post questions, join the "Ask the Expert", read the discussions. Remember to share any positive stories alongside any lessons learned. Important: this training is not intended to be legal counsel or to provide holistic training for how to reopen your church after COVID-19 but contains hints and guidelines and suggestions. We are all under the authority of our leaders and we must consult resources found at Health Canada, the US CDC, FEMA, the NHS, or whatever national, state or local authority we are under. Our guidance does not in any way diminish theirs. Our team is praying for you and your church during this time and are eager to serve you through this pandemic and beyond.
